Case Study: A renowned Independent School District in TX
Challenge:
The ISD customer of RaaWee relied very heavily on Shared folder on their network for document and content storage and sharing. The sharing was insecure and often resulted in multiple copies of the same document lying at multiple locations without proper version control.
Solution:
Raawee replaced shared folders structure from network into SharePoint by utilizing SharePoint document libraries, which also provided extra capability of attaching Metadata and security to the content. As part of migrating over the documents from Shared folder into SharePoint libraries, the ISD wanted capability to bulk upload document (100+) on a single instance and attach metadata at the same time. Raawee has provided utility for bulk upload of documents and to attach metadata to the documents. The ISD also wanted to replace some of their process into online forms; this was accomplished by using SharePoint InfoPath functionality. SharePoint features and the customization being utilized enable users to utilize version control for their documents. Security of documents and access control is also an integral part of this implementation. Several others feature such as customized workflows, Centralized Calendaring for events, branding etc. are also implemented.
